AHC30916 Certificate III IN Landscape Construction

This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in landscape construction. The landscaping industry expects this qualification to be achieved to meet job outcomes at this level.

Occupational titles may include:

  • Structural Landscaper
  • Landscape Gardener

The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the landscape construction industry, as well as a specialist field of work.

The landscape construction industry strongly affirms that training and assessment leading to recognition of skills must be undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment and this qualification requires all units of competency to be delivered in this context.

The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the landscaping industry plus elective units. A total of 15 units are required.

Trade contractor licencing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this licence may be required. Please check with your local regulatory body.

Course Duration

It is anticipated this course will take up to 24 months (36 months if undertaking an apprenticeship), depending on the delivery method and course attendance from the student. Levels of experience and any additional prior Qualifications in a relevant industry may also affect time frames.

Delivery Options

This course is offered via the following method in various locations across South-East Queensland:

  • Monthly in person trainer led workshop days (8hours)
  • Self paced project work of up to 10 hours per week
  • Students have access to their trainer between workshops via email and phone
  • Additional support is available through the course program department on 1300 852 852

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course. Appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety boots, will need to be supplied by the candidate and worn for practical activities.  For specific eligibility requirements surrounding possible funding available go to QLD Funding.
